SEWER SCREAMS Retrieve the lost
The listing objective, not a secret questline this wiki will fabricate.
The official SEWER SCREAMS blurb on Roblox is four jobs: flee the entity, retrieve the lost, choose ASCEND or GO DEEPER every ten levels, and gain Respect. This page is about the second line. Kumis Studios has not published a lore bible that names every lost thing. The public prototype still asks you to pick up what the HUD and the pipe put in front of you, then keep moving.
Do not confuse this with red balloons. Balloons are a hazard. The lost are the reason you are in the pipe at all.
What we can say from the listing and footage
- The experience text says retrieve the lost. Player videos describe collecting currency while pushing layers.
- Prompts in a session win over this wiki. If the client labels a pickup, that label is the manual.
- A cat appears in at least one co-op clip. That is not a confirmed pet system or a named lost soul. Ignore it unless a prompt says otherwise. Solo and co-op covers the clip, not a bestiary.
- Walkthroughs that reach the mid-twenties still treat pickups as “grab and go,” not as a museum tour.
This unofficial wiki will not invent a numbered soul list, a true-ending ritual, or a secret NPC that only appears after 50 Respect. If that ships in the run update, we will write it then.
How to retrieve without dying to greed
How to play is the loop. Retrieval sits inside it:
- Headphones on. Drip audio still marks exits. You cannot retrieve if you are lost in a dead end.
- Scan for balloons before you touch a glow. Red balloons first, pickup second.
- Grab when the clown-like hunter is not in the same pipe. Survive the entity is the chase page.
- Do not screenshot on the objective. 24-player servers do not pause.
- Bank at the ten-level fork if revives are thin. Ascend or go deeper is the decision, not a lore dump.
Currency you see in runs is part of pushing layers. It is not proven to be “the lost” as a named item type. Treat prompted pickups as the lost until the studio names them. Treat unprompted glows as optional tax.
Why this page exists
Players search “how to get” and “how to find” for this game. The listing already answered with retrieve the lost. The missing piece is discipline: people die because they reverse for a pickup while the entity is mid-scream. This page is that correction.
If you came from Getting Started, this is the objective layer. If you came from Respect, retrieval is how you stay in the run long enough to see the fork. Respect is not a pickup on the floor. Depth is.
Graphics hide pickups the same way they hide strings. Use graphics and audio. The run checklist has the lobby ticks so you do not remember the objective after the first wipe.
Prototype honesty
As of the September 2026 check, Roblox still listed 21 July 2026 as the last update. The place remains an early public prototype. “Retrieve the lost” is still the official verb. It is not a finished quest log. If a YouTube title promises “all lost souls locations,” treat it as a routing tape, not a datamine. The walkthrough is habits through documented depths, not a soul spreadsheet.
No promo codes unlock the lost. Codes are empty. No dedicated script farms them. Scripts stay empty on purpose.
Grab the prompted thing. Leave the balloon. Hear the drip. Decide the fork. That is retrieval in this prototype, and it is enough to play the July build without a fake collectible wiki.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What are the lost in SEWER SCREAMS?
The official listing says retrieve them. This wiki will not invent a roster. Grab prompted pickups and keep moving. See how to play.
Is the cat one of the lost?
Unconfirmed. One co-op clip shows a cat. Do not build a system on it. Solo and co-op.
Are red balloons the lost?
No. Balloons are a no-touch hazard. Red balloons.
Does retrieval give Respect?
Respect is a run score tied to depth and the fork, not a proven pickup formula. Respect.
Is there a map of every lost object?
No locked map. Use the walkthrough for routing habits in a public prototype.
