SEWER SCREAMS is designed to be heard and barely seen. The Kumis Studios public prototype on Roblox recommends headphones and high graphics. It also uses flashing lights and loud screams on purpose. This page is the setup tool: what to turn up, what to turn down, and what not to download. Pair it with the pre-run checklist so you are not opening sliders while a clown-like entity owns your pipe.

This is not a unique in-game graphics menu this wiki will invent. Use Roblox client settings plus your operating system volume. In-game prompts, if they appear, win. Controls already refused fake keybinds; this page refuses fake “ultra config” files.

Graphics: why high quality is the actual advice

Liminal sewers hide red balloon strings against dark walls and ceiling pipes. Low graphics smear those strings into noise. High graphics will not make you brave. They will make the no-touch hazard readable.

Do this before you join, or in a quiet first corridor from Getting Started:

  • Raise Roblox Graphics Quality as far as the machine stays smooth. A slideshow during a chase is worse than a slightly darker wall.
  • If you have a choice between extra shadows and a stable frame rate, keep the frame rate. Camera-before-sprint only works if the camera is live.
  • Fullscreen helps you see ceiling lines. A tiny window behind a browser of fake codes does not.
  • Do not chase a leaked “best config.” There is no official Kumis Studios graphics profile on a Trello — we have no verified Trello.

Flashing lights are part of the design. If that is a medical problem, this prototype may not be for you. Lowering graphics can reduce some flicker on some machines, but this wiki will not promise a calm mode that the HUD does not name. Take the ASCEND fork and stop if you need to.

Audio: headphones, then a slider, then a break

Headphones are recommended because water-drip near exits is a tell and because the hunter’s pressure is a sound. Laptop speakers in a kitchen will lose drip under a fridge hum.

Loud noises are also part of the design. You are allowed to refuse that part:

  1. Set Roblox volume to a level where drip is audible and screams are not painful.
  2. Set system volume so a single scream cannot spike through a headset limiter you forgot to enable.
  3. Mute other apps. Overlay alert pings are not drip.
  4. If you use voice with a co-op party, push-to-talk on a key that is not WASD, Space, or Shift.

Conceptual note, not a guide: some players want a mute that ducks only the loudest one-shots. This wiki will not paste an injector to do that. How to use scripts and working scripts exist to say no. A volume slider is the accessibility tool you actually have.

If drip disappears because you muted too hard, you will miss exits and you will invent a map. Turn the game back up until drip is back, then shorten sessions. Ten-level blocks are a natural pause.

Sensory load as a run resource

Treat ears and eyes like revives. They spend down. Survival priority already ranks audio fatigue as a reason to ASCEND. Run choices agrees. Respect on Respect is not worth ringing.

The walkthrough 11–20 block is where people get sloppy because the screams stack. That is a setup problem as much as a skill problem. Stand up at the fork. Reseat the headset. Then decide GO DEEPER.

Do not “fix” flashing lights mid-chase by alt-tabbing into a forum. Survive the entity wants your camera in the pipe. Calibrate now or after a death, not during the scream.

What not to install in the name of quality

  • Shader packs from random sewers. Lookalike malware.
  • “FPS unlocker scripts” bundled with ESP. See the scripts hub.
  • Fake “official” Discord codecs. No verified Discord. Community links.
  • A second copy of the place that promises “max graphics lobby.” Confirm the official URL.

Setup closer before you drop

Graphics high enough to read balloon strings. Frame rate high enough to reverse. Headphones on. Volume low enough to stay, high enough to hear drip. Other apps mute. No injector. No fake config. If a scream still wrecks you after that, you do not need a warehouse — you need a shorter run and an ASCEND.
