SEWER SCREAMS ASCEND or GO DEEPER
The only strategic menu in the public prototype: leave with your night, or sink another ten levels for Respect.
Every ten levels in SEWER SCREAMS, the Kumis Studios public prototype puts a fork in your hands: ASCEND or GO DEEPER. Ascend is how you leave the liminal sewers with the run you already survived. Go deeper is how you chase Respect and the leaderboard through another entity-filled block. There is no third option this wiki will invent. There is no documented “secret mix.” You pick one, then you live with the pipes.
This page is the decision, not the keymap. Movement stays default Roblox, as controls says. The loop around the fork is how to play. Ranked situations live on run choices. Respect as a score lives on Respect.
What the fork is for
The prototype is endless in mood. The fork is the designer’s mercy and the designer’s trap. Mercy: you can stop. Trap: Respect sits behind another ten levels of clown-like hunter, red balloons you must not touch, and loud screams on headphones you are already tired of wearing.
We do not have a published formula that says GO DEEPER is worth N Respect. Kumis Studios has not posted that math on a verified board — and this unofficial wiki has no verified Discord or Trello to scrape. Play the fork as a resource check, not as a calculator:
- Revives still available?
- Camera still clean around balloon strings?
- Headphones still seated, drip still audible?
- Party still on one line, if you are in a 24-player co-op server?
- Are you choosing deeper because you want the score, or because a thumbnail told you a “true ending” is mandatory?
If three of those five are no, ASCEND. You can start another run. The experience is playable on Roblox as an early public prototype; it is not a one-save campaign you must finish at 3 a.m.
ASCEND: the correct greedy play
Ascend is not cowardice. It is how you keep currency you already picked up, keep the retrieve you already finished, and keep a Respect gain you already earned in the block behind you. It is also how you protect a friend who is done with flashing lights.
Ascend when:
- You burned a revive on a balloon. Balloons are a discipline fail; another ten levels will repeat it.
- You are in Getting Started territory — first hour, still learning drip.
- The entity just taught you a new junction the hard way and your hands are fast in a bad way. See survive the entity.
- Audio fatigue. Loud noises are the design. Your ears are part of the control scheme.
The mid-article full-game video with an ending is a reminder that sessions can conclude. Watch how a player treats the last fork they actually take. Copy the stop, not a promised cutscene this wiki will not describe from imagination.
GO DEEPER: the Respect play
Go deeper when the first ten (or twenty) already felt automatic. You check ceilings without thinking. You retrieve the lost without camping. You ignore currency that sits next to a balloon. You can still hear drip under leftover screams.
Deeper is the walkthrough 11–20 and 21-plus blocks. Community videos show climbs through the twenties. That is stamina evidence, not a requirement. If you go deeper in co-op, say it out loud. One player clicking deeper while another expects ascend is how parties split into dead ends — solo and co-op flags that exact fight.
Do not go deeper to hunt a cat from a video. Do not go deeper because you hope a code box appears on level 30. No promo codes are listed as of September 2026. Do not go deeper because an executor overlay promised a skip. Working scripts has nothing dedicated for this place.
A decision card you can read at the menu
Read it in this order, once, without irony:
- Balloon deaths this block: if more than zero and you did not immediately correct, ASCEND.
- Revives: if you feel broke, ASCEND. This wiki will not invent the HUD number; trust what you see.
- Audio: if drip is gone under ringing, ASCEND.
- Party: if anyone wants out, ASCEND unless you all agree.
- Ego: if the only argument is leaderboard, look at Respect and survival priority first. Score that costs a sloppy wipe is not score.
- If you still want the pipes, GO DEEPER. Then play the next ten like how to play taught the first ten — retrieve, no balloons, hear the exit, no sightseeing.
The guides hub is the parent of this fork. The tier list hub is the sibling ranking. Use both between runs, never during the menu while the entity is still audible in the last pipe. Click the option you mean. Default Roblox UI does not pause a scream for your speech.
When the major run update lands, the fork might grow new rules. Until Kumis Studios ships that, ASCEND and GO DEEPER are the whole strategy layer. Treat them with the seriousness the rest of the prototype refuses to decorate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How often do I choose ASCEND or GO DEEPER?
Every ten levels in the public prototype. That cadence is the strategic layer of SEWER SCREAMS.
Does going deeper always give more Respect?
Deeper is how players push Respect, but this wiki has no official formula. See Respect rather than invented numbers.
Is ASCEND the same as quitting?
No. It banks the run you already survived. Quitting mid-chase wastes a retrieve you already did.
Should a co-op party split on the fork?
No. Agree before anyone clicks. Splits are how groups die in two directions. Read solo and co-op.
Will the run update change the fork?
Maybe. A major run update is in development. Track it on the run update page and do not assume new options yet.
